Call for Applications for the thematic Program: "Representation Theory and Noncommutative Geometry" (January 6 - April 4, 2025)

From January 6 to April 4, 2025 will be held:

Thematic Program: "Representation Theory and Noncommutative Geometry"

 

 

Through the CIMPA-CARMIN program the organizers wish to fund, with the support of the Labex CARMIN and the CIMPA, the participation of several young mathematicians from developing countries to the activities of the program.

Young scientists (master students soon looking for a PhD, PhD students, postdocs) meeting those criteria and interested in the topics are much encouraged to apply for a support to participate in this Thematic Program.

Details on the support

The 3 laureates selected to participate in the CIMPA-CARMIN programme will receive financial support including:

  • Roundtrip travel between your home country and Paris (up to a maximum amount of 1600 euros, including visa fees).
  • Accommodation in Paris (in housing provided by the IHP).
  • Per diem allowance of 700€/month, for 3 months.

 

Admission requirements 

  • IHP and CIMPA support the participation of young mathematicians less or equal to 36 years old or with the highest academic diploma during the last 5 years affiliated in a developing country (IMU list)
  • A candidate will commit to spend at least 2/3 of the time of the programme in Paris to be admissible. 

 

How to apply 

Applications must be submitted before the deadline. Applications shall include a cover letter and two recommendation letters that will be sent electronically by the referees. Candidates are advised to complete their applications early enough and to ask the referees to send the letters long before the deadline. CIMPA will not assume responsibility for any last-minute application which cannot be completed due to technical reasons.
