Join Professor Akram Yousofzadeh's course "Tarski Numbers and Different Solutions to Configuration Equations" from February 27 to March 2, 2023.
Akram Yousofzadeh is a professor at Islamic Azad University Mobarakeh Branch (Iran).
The course will be given in English on zoom.
This is a recurrent meeting, so please register only once for all 4 sessions:

The course will take place on the following days (Paris time zone):
- Monday 27 February: 14:00 - 16:00
- Tuesday 28 February: 14:00 - 16:00
- Wednesday 1 March: 14:00 - 16:00
- Thursday 2 March: 14:00 - 16:00
The main objective of this course is to give a constructive way to compute upper bounds for the Tarski number of groups. Indeed we use a finite system of equations, with no normalized solution and define configuration graphs, to obtain a paradoxical decomposition of the given group. We also give a new equivalent condition for locally finiteness of groups.
CIMPA does not provide certificates of attendance for online courses.
This course will be filmed at CIMPA (Nice, France).
