CIMPA and MATH+ launch partnership for young researchers

CIMPA and MATH+ are partnering to support young researchers from developing countries. As part of the Thematic Einstein Semesters (TES), for each selected semester, two laureates will come to Berlin for a one-month stay.

During their stay, they will benefit from mentoring support and will be able to develop their research project.

This partnership, promoting inclusion and scientific excellence, will open its call for applications in 2025.

CNRS-Africa Cooperation: Launch of a New Joint Research Programme in Mathematics

As part of its Multi-Year Collaboration Plan with Africa, the CNRS has announced its support for the FANE-MATH-PE project, co-led by Sophie Dabo from the Paul Painlevé Laboratory and Patrick Tchepmo Djomegni from North-West University in South Africa, both members of CIMPA.

This innovative project brings together experts in mathematics, ecology, physics, and biotechnology to develop mathematical models capable of addressing challenges as diverse as climate change, ocean resource management, and the prevention of epidemics and cancers.
