CIMPA Fellowships: that is another great news!

After having sealed a partnership with the Centre de Recerca Matemàtica (CRM) in Barcelona (Spain), CIMPA is also partnering with the Centre International de Rencontres Mathématiques (CIRM) in Marseille (France) .

Thanks to this partnership, several young mathematicians from developing countries can now apply for a financial support to participate in a "Thematic Month" organized by the CIRM and Aix-Marseille University.

CALL FOR APPLICATION FOR THE DIRECTION OF CIMPA

A call for application for the next Director of CIMPA (International Centre of Pure and Applied Mathematics) is now open. The new Director will start his/her term of office in September 2020. The candidate should be a well recognized mathematician with a commitment to promoting research in mathematics in the developing world and good practice of administrative duties. The term is for four years, renewable once.

MATH DAY FOR DEVELOPMENT - UNESCO PARIS - MARCH 15, 2019

This day is organized by the Centre international de mathématiques pures et appliquées (CIMPA), the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), and the French National Commission for UNESCO (CNFU), under the sponsorship of the Academy of Sciences and an Honorary Committee.

We are pleased to announce "Maths Day for Development" to be held on Friday, March 15, 2019 at UNESCO (Paris).

The Scientific Council met in Paris to study the projects of CIMPA Research Schools for 2020

The Scientific Council of CIMPA has had a two days meeting at the Université Paris Descartes to work on project proposals of CIMPA Research Schools for 2020. CIMPA is very grateful to all the members of this council for their time and energy. The selection of schools will be finalized during the next CIMPA Steering Committee meeting in Nice on January 24-25, 2019.

The school is particularly designed for students in mathematics, physics, and theoretical ecology interested in learning how to describe complex, non-linear natural phenomena with computational tools.

IHP Trimester : "Analytics, Inference and Computation in Cosmology"

The three new laureates of the CIMPA-CARMIN program have arrived in France to participate in the IHP Trimester "Analytics, Inference and Computation in Cosmology" from September 3th to December 14th, 2018. Before going to IHP in Paris, Shabbir SHAIKH from India, Nirban BOSE from India and Nassima KHALDI from Algeria, are spending one week in Cargèse (Corsica) to attend the kick-off School. We wish them a wonderful IHP Trimester.
