Geometric method for quantum Field Theory
Partial Differential Equations and Computer Vision
The objectives are to present an outline of the recent development of the application of Partial Differential Equations to Image Processing. These last 10 years have seen a new field emerging from a need for better mathematical formalism of problems in Image Processing. It was introduced at first for an invariant image analysis through different scales, and also used for adaptative image smoothing, image sequence analysis, active contours and surfaces, curve evolution. The school is intended to beginners as well confirmed scientists in both the Mathematician Community and the Computer Science Community.

History of mathematics from the Antiquity to the XVIIIth century
The aim of the school is to allow mathematician participants to renew the memory of their science and to see it in a new perspective. For historians of mathemaics and of the sciences, it is to acquaint them with the mathematical activity of periods on which they do not work. The field of the school will be mathematics from Antiquity to the beginning of the XVIIIth century. It has been chosen in order to train research workers about periods the approach of which is difficult (for reasons of language, nature of the texts, etc) and to put the mathematics of these periods in their cultural context.
