Good news: CIMPA has just obtained a grant from Simons Foundation!

CIMPA is very pleased to announce that it has received a grant from the Simons Foundation.

This grant will support CIMPA Courses and will also allow the creation of CIMPA-SIMONS Fellows, offering the possibility to young mathematics researchers from developing countries to take part in short thematic programmes in Europe.

Thanks to this grant, lots of great projects will be made possible!

AMU-PACOM 2021 Awards and Medals

The AMU-PACOM 2021 Awards and Medals will be presented during the 10th Pan African Congress of Mathematicians (PACOM 2021) and will be held in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, from August 2 to 7, 2021. The awards and medals are intended to foster innovative research and mentorship in all areas of mathematical sciences across the continent, recognize and honor outstanding contribution to the development of Mathematical Sciences through Africa.

A student of the 2018 Cimpa School in Benin is accepted on the PhD programme at Yeshiva University in New York City

Good news! One of the students from the CIMPA school that took place in Benin in 2018 has been accepted on the PhD programme at Yeshiva University in New York City.

Samuel Wale Akingbade began the programme in January 2020. He is studying under the supervision of Marian Gidea, Professor and Chair of Mathematics at Yeshiva University.
