Abstract: An Artinian graded algebra A possesses the weak Lefschetz property (WLP) if multiplication by a general linear form achieves maximal rank in every degree. This property has been extensively studied, influencing fields such as algebraic geometry, commutative algebra, and combinatorics. In this mini course, we will cover the foundational definitions and properties of the Weak Lefschetz Property, along with examples and open problems in the area.
