The school has as its main objective to provide different perspectives on singularity theory. These (usually complementary) include the theory of PoincaréÂHopf and characteristic classes, commutative algebra, real and complex algebraic geometry, holomorphic foliations and tropical geometry among others.
The goal is that students and young researchers increase and enrich their knowledge about several aspects of the theory of singularities, and have contact with experts on the subject.
We plan to organize this school, prior to an international congress on the same theme which will be held in Mexico in December 2014. This congress will be dedicated to the celebration of the 60 th Anniversary of José Seade, one of the main pillars of singularities in Mexico and the region.
