Presentation of CIMPA Schools

The historical activity of CIMPA is the organisation of Research Schools in developing countries, it focuses on areas where there is a real drive and where there is a scope for a research project. The purpose of each Research School is to make an introduction to the recent researches in a field of mathematics, in pure and applied mathematics as well as related subjects such as computer sciences and theoretical physics. Research Schools are intended to students and research teaching staff from developing countries, they get a financial support from CIMPA in order to cover especially the cost of participations of those participants from neighboring countries. Currently, calls for proposals are launched every year to organise about twenty Research Schools per year.
