Presentation

Kinetic equations are used in several high tech applications ranging from entry in the atmosphere of space shuttle to design of chips which are so small that the electric current does not thermalize in the process. They are also used in the design of ionic motors for satellite and so on. They provide a natural link between different scientific point of view and different mathematical approaches ranging from hamiltonian mechanic (classic or quantized) to evolution of large scale structures in turbulence within between the classical equations Euler Navier stokes and so on. This School on Kinetic equations will be a good opportunity to provide training ranging from theoretical math to genuine applications.
